On February 2, an event was held in the Gabala district to celebrate Azerbaijan Youth Day
On February 2, 2026, Gabala District hosted a Youth Day event, jointly organized by the Gabala district education sector and committee of the Education and Science Workers’ Trade Union. The event participants first visited the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, laying flower bouquets at the monument to pay their respect to the great leader. The event, attended by representatives of the the regional education sector of Gabala Region Executive Power, the Gabala District Committee of the Trade Union, families of martyrs, and education workers, began with the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan. The memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who gave their lives for the liberation of our lands was honored with a minute of silence. At the event, Ataya Osmanova stated that the foundation of state youth policy in Azerbaijan was established by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and that today’s celebration is a gift from him to the youth. She spoke about the care and attention shown to Azerbaijani youth by our esteemed President, congratulated the young people on the occasion of the holiday, and wished them success in their work. Other speakers highlighted the systematic work carried out by the state, the setting of new development goals, and spoke about the important role of youth in the historic Victory, as well as their contributions to the development of society. At the event, a group of young education workers were presented with honorary certificates and gifts from the Gabala District Education Sector of the Shaki-Zagatala Regional Education Department and the Gabala District Committee of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers. The event continued with literary and artistic performances dedicated to Youth Day, presented by the students.
