Public discussion held on “Measures to Protect Children from Harmful Content and Influences in the Digital Environment”
A public discussion on “Measures to Protect Children from Harmful Content and Influences in the Digital Environment” was held at the initiative of the Gabala Children and Family Support Centre. The event brought together representatives of region government departments, enterprises, organizations and rural municipalities, as well as teachers and psychologists from the region’s general education schools, and faculty members and students of the Vocational Education Centre. During the discussion, participants were informed about the essence of the Order of President Ilham Aliyev “On Measures to Protect Children from Harmful Content and Influences in the Digital Environment.” They also discussed the risks children face in the digital environment, the impact of these risks on children's health, and the importance of awareness-raising activities on digital literacy, cybersecurity, and responsible online behaviour.
The discussion included an exchange of views on existing challenges and possible solutions, answers to participants’ questions, and particular emphasis on the importance of cooperation among families, schools, and society in supporting children's development.
