Public hearing on the topic “Gender Equality and Women in Governance” was held in Gabala.
On March 3, 2026, public hearing on the topic “Gender Equality and Women in Governance”, dedicated to International Women’s Day — March 8, was held at the initiative of the Gabala Region Executive Power and the Children and Family Support Center. Representatives of the Gabala Region Executive Power, the region police department, the education sector, various departments, enterprises and organizations, as well as representatives of the public and members of the expert group took part in the public hearing. During the hearing, the work carried out to ensure gender equality and the existing problems were discussed. The importance of expanding women’s participation in the decision-making process, creating equal opportunities in the labor market, and strengthening the fight against domestic violence was emphasized. At the end, the questions of the participants were answered. Women who distinguished themselves in the socio-political life of the district were awarded letters of appreciation.
