September 27 - Memorial Day event was held in Gabala
An event was held in connection with September 27 – Memorial Day in the alley of martyrs of Gabala region. The State Anthem was sounded at the event attended by the heads of the Region Executive Power, law enforcement agencies, management institutions and organizations, family members of the martyrs of the Patriotic War, war participants, veterans and representatives of the district public, and the memory of the martyrs was commemorated with 1-minute silence. Speaking at the event, head of the Executive Power of the Region Sabuhi Abdullayev spoke about the successful continuation of the Army building strategy, the foundation of which was laid by the great leader Heydar Aliyev, by the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-In-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the resolute struggle of the army-people’s union, united as an iron fist by his call, and our victory, which ended with a Great Victory and wished God’s mercy to the martyrs, patience to the families of martyrs, and health to the veterans. Speaking on behalf of the martyr's parents, veterans, Faig Abdullayev and veteran Mushfig Pashayev spoke about the heroism of our martyrs and veterans in the Patriotic War, expressed deep gratitude to the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, victorious Supreme Commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev and First vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention and care shown. At the end, Suras from the Koran were read to the souls of the martyrs, the participants of the event, along with the martyrs of the first Karabakh War, visited the complex erected in memory of our martyrs who rose to martyrdom during the battles of April 2016, July 2020, the 44-day Patriotic War, as well as on September 13, 2022, while preventing the provocation of the Armenian armed forces, laid flowers on graves and in front of memorial plaques.
