The 12th Azerbaijani-Russian Interregional Forum has been held

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia organized the 12th Azerbaijan-Russia Interregional Forum on February 28, 2024, in the town of Mineralnye Vody, located in Russia`s Stavropol Krai. Sabuhi Abdullayev, the head of the Gabala District Executive Power, attended the forum as part of the Azerbaijani delegation. Documents on economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation were signed at the Forum, which was attended by representatives from state institutions, parliaments, executive authorities, entrepreneurs working in various sectors of the economy, and Azerbaijani and Russian media representatives. First, the addresses of Azerbaijan and Russia's presidents, Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin, were read to the forum attendees. In the speeches of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Co-chairman of the Intergovernmental State Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk, representatives of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and others, it was noted that the "Road Map on the development of the main directions of cooperation" signed between the two countries will play an important role in taking concrete steps related to the development of cooperation in the fields of trade-economic and investment, transport, industry, agriculture, energy, tourism, humanitarian and social spheres, as well as innovation and information technologies. Sabuhi Abdullayev, Chairman of the Gabala Regional Executive Power delivered a speech. He stated that the held Forum will open new perspectives for further expansion of partnership between the two neighboring states, as well as between the two cities on the basis of the Agreement on cooperation and fraternal relations signed between the Gabala Regional Executive Power and the Administration of the resort city of Kislovodsk, Stavropol Krai of the Russian Federation, will strengthen relations and effective cooperation between the regions of the two countries and contribute to the high level of Russian-Azeri friendship. At the forum, views were exchanged on the implementation of joint projects between the two countries, the possibility of deepening regional cooperation, and other related issues.
