The 15th Gabala International Music Festival concluded ceremoniously
The 15th Gabala International Music Festival, held on the initiative and with organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Baku Music Academy and Gilan, has concluded. For many years, the festival has brought together representatives of the world music scene, and this year it once again gathered renowned artists and dance ensembles in Gabala not only from Azerbaijan, but also from Germany, Austria, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Russia and Vietnam, becoming an important platform for intercultural dialogue. At the festival’s closing concert, accompanied by the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli led by the Honored Artist Fuad Ibrahimov, People’s Artists Azer Zeynalov and Samir Jafarov, Honored Artist Elnara Mammadova, as well as musicians Lala Murshudlu (soprano), Zarifa Alkhasova (violin) and Najaf Valiyev (trumpet), performed. The musical evening opened with Jahangir Allahverdiyev’s Victory Overture was continued with immortal works by Azerbaijani composers, as well as operatic works by great composers of world music. The Gabala International Music Festival, which has been held since 2009, once again gave music lovers unforgettable moments this year and successfully concluded its work, serving as a cultural bridge bringing peoples together.
