The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kim Gu Kang, paid a visit to the Gabala Region.
On July 10, 2026, within the framework of his visit to the Gabala Region, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kang Kim Gu, held a meeting with the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, Sabuhi Abdullayev. During the meeting, the Head of the Region Executive Power provided detailed information on the district’s economic indicators, social and cultural life, newly established production enterprises, industrial and tourism facilities, as well as international events held in the district. During the meeting, which was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, various aspects of bilateral relations were discussed, and an exchange of views was held on expanding opportunities for the development of mutual cooperation.
During the meeting, it was also emphasized that close relations have been established between the city of Gabala of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the city of Gyeongju of the Republic of Korea based on the “Agreement on the Establishment of Friendly Relations” signed in the Gabala Region on August 20, 2015. It was deemed appropriate to organize mutual visits in order to further expand these relations.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kang Kim Gu, noted that the organization of such meetings would greatly contribute to the further strengthening of political, socio-economic and cultural ties between the two countries, and expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and cordial reception extended to him.
At the end of the meeting, mutual gifts were exchanged between the parties.
