The concert program dedicated to the musical legacy of the great composer Gara Garayev was received with great interest at the “Winter Tale” International Music Festival.
On 5 February 2026, the 2nd “Winter Tale” International Music Festival commenced in Gabala with the organization of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibayli, and “Gilan”. As a continuation of the Gabala International Music Festival, which has been traditionally held in the city since 2009, a chamber music concert was presented to music lovers at the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center. First, Professor Zahra Guliyeva of the Uzeyir Hajibayli Baku Music Academy, People’s Artist, delivered a speech, noting that the concert was dedicated to the cherished memory of the prominent composer and People’s Artist Gara Garayev, who made invaluable contributions to the world’s musical heritage, and spoke about the composer’s creative work. The performances of People’s Artists Farhad Badalbeyli and Murad Adigozalzade, accompanied by the Azerbaijan State String Quartet, were highly appreciated by music lovers.
