An event entitled “The Glorious Journey of Our Press” was held at the Gabala Region Cultural Center on the occasion of National Press and Journalism Day. The speakers at the event covered in detail the tremendous contribution made by the newspaper Akinchi, founded 151 years ago by Hasan bey Zardabi, to the enlightenment of our people, the formation of national identity, and the strengthening of the traditions of statehood. They also emphasised that the development of freedom of speech and the press, as well as improving the social welfare of media professionals, are among the key priorities of state policy. At the end of the event, a video highlighting the rich development path of the newspaper Akinchi was screened.
