The event titled “The Literary World of Samad Vurgun” was held

On July 08, 2026, the Gabala Region Local History Museum organized an event titled “The Literary World of Samad Vurgun” dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding poet Samad Vurgun. The speakers at the event noted that Samad Vurgun, as an outstanding word-painter who initiated a new brilliant stage in the chronicle of Azerbaijan’s literary thought, left his unique mark on the history of literature. They particularly emphasized that the main idea underlying the poet’s multifaceted work was the ideology of Azerbaijanism, eternal love for the Land of Fire, patriotism, and the embodiment of genuine human qualities. At the end of the event, a video dedicated to the life and work of the poet was screened.
