The final stage of the “Young Rescuer” International Competition and the “Young Rescuer and Fireman” Republican Championship dedicated to the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”, organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, has begun.

On June 26, Gabala hosted the opening ceremony of the final round of the “Young Rescuer” International Competition and the “Young Rescuer and Fireman” Republican Championship dedicated to the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”.

The event began with the raising of the national flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the performance of the national anthem. Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations, Lieutenant-General Etibar Mirzayev, stressed that the national leader of our people Heydar Aliyev has always been particularly scrupulous about the issue of educating teenagers and youth in the spirit of national patriotism, loyalty to his people and state. The Deputy Minister noted that the international competition “Young Rescuer”, organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Gabala, plays an important role in the formation of practical skills in the field of emergency response among young people, as well as in further expanding international cooperation in this direction. Later, the head of the Executive Power of the Gabala Region, Sabuhi Abdullayev, spoke about the importance of the competition and stressed that holding such competitions plays an important role for teenagers and young people to gain new experience in the field of combating emergencies, as well as for international cooperation in this area and wished success to the participants of the event. Deputy head of the Organizing Committee of the event Colonel Mahbuba Mustafayeva spoke about the importance of the competitions and wished success to all teams. Then the solemn passage of the teams participating in the competitions took place. The competition is organized in 4 stages - school, district (city), zonal and nationwide competitions. The winning teams in the zonal competitions take part in the nationwide finals. Teams from 16 districts and cities will fight for the championship in the final stage of this year's national championship. Also, 21 children of martyrs from different regions of the republic were invited to the competition this year. For the effective organization of your free time, additional programs are considered. Teams from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan will test their strength in the Young Rescuer International Competition dedicated to the Year of Heydar Aliyev. 

The competitions will last until July 2.
