The first international art exhibition “Crossroads of Cultures” organized in Gabala
One of the major events held as part of GabalaFest was the international art exhibition “Crossroads of Cultures.” The exhibition features paintings and sculptures by more than 30 renowned artists from Azerbaijan, China, Germany, Hungary, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, the United Kingdom, and Uzbekistan. At the official opening ceremony, held on the first day of GabalaFest, the speakers shared fascinating insights into the art of painting, welcomed the organization of such exhibitions that bring together artists from around the world, and expressed their gratitude to the organizers. The exhibition showcases works by distinguished artists from different countries, including Akmal Nur, Alpysbai Kazgulov, Arif Aziz, Ayan Aziz Mammadova, Aylal Heydarova, Javlon Umarbekov, Jeff Robb, Jasar Mammadov, David Begbie, Elshad H. Aliyev, Jambul Natbayev, Jen Quansyu, Gahryman Gochmyradov, Leyla Aliyeva, Mazahir Rustamov, Nigar Baghirova, Omar Eldarov, Rafael Aliyev, Refik Aziz, Rashad Mehdiyev, Roya Hasan, Sakit Mammadov, Safranda Abdullayeva, Samedagha Jafarov, Shahla Gahramanli, Tamás János Molnár, Tolkyn Tabysbek, Ulviya Hamzayeva, Young Mo Jeong, Young Woo Lee, Jens Hesse, and Yuristanbek Shigaev. Among the most remarkable exhibits are the rhythmic works of Azerbaijan’s People's Artist Arif Aziz, as well as the black-and-white compositions by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Curated by British curator Ruth Millington, the exhibition promotes artistic dialogue among nations through painting, sculpture, and photography. The exhibition left a lasting positive impression on its visitors.
