The international "Young Rescuer" competition and the national "Young Rescuer and Firefighter" All-Republic championship have been concluded.
The ceremony of awarding the winners of the XI International Competition "Young Rescuer" and the XII All-Republic Championship "Young Rescuer and Firefighter" held in Gabala District with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Gabala District Executive Power, and organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has taken place. The ceremony was attended by Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Kanan Karimzada, senior officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Head of the Gabala District Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev, as well as family members and children of the martyrs of the Patriotic War. This year’s competitions featured teams not only from Azerbaijan, but also from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Belarus. The competitions were organized with the aim of the level of emergency preparedness of teenagers and young people, inculcating a healthy lifestyle, a sense of responsible approach to personal and public safety and national-patriotic spirit among schoolchildren, forming friendship and cooperative relations between young rescuers of different countries. The official ceremony began with the performance of the National Anthem, followed by the screening of a video presentation about the competitions. Schoolchildren then performed artistic pieces, including songs and dances celebrating national patriotism and friendship among countries. At the conclusion, the winners were awarded trophies, diplomas, certificates of honor, and valuable gifts, while other participants received certificates of honor and commemorative gifts. It should be noted that the teams tested their strength on "Barrier zone", "Combined fire relay", "Search and rescue work", "Presentation of team" and "Wall paper" stages. In the international competition, the first place was awarded to Azerbaijan, second place to Kazakhstan, and third place to Belarus. In the national championship, the first place was awarded to the team of the Nakhchivan City Secondary School No. 1, the second place was the team of Garachay Settlement Secondary School of Quba District, and the third place was awarded to the team of Sumgayit City Secondary School No. 4.
