The next reporting conference of the Gabala District Elders' Council was held.

On June 17, 2025, the reporting conference of the Gabala Region Council of Elders was held. At the beginning of the conference, participants paid respect to the national leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers at his monument. At the conference held at the “Gabala Garden” hotel, the Azerbaijani National Anthem was played. This was followed by a minute of silence in honor of the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who gave their lives for the liberation of our lands from occupation. Opening the event with an introductory speech, the Head of the Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev told about the role of elders in the socio-political life of the country and the state care shown to the older generation. He emphasized the continued importance of the wisdom and guidance of elders in the upbringing of young people to be loyal to the state and the nation, to stay away from harmful influences, and to grow up with strong moral foundations. Chairman of the Gabala District Council of Elders, Mehman Ismayilov informed about the annual activities of the council and upcoming affairs, stressed that the martyrs' families and veterans are always in the spotlight in Gabala, and the elders also take an active part in this noble work. The speakers emphasized the important role played by older generations in shaping the younger generation and raising them with a spirit of patriotism and respect for our national and spiritual values and traditions. They spoke about the development and construction work being carried out in our country and the global projects being implemented. They emphasized that they will continue to actively participate in public affairs and expressed their deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mihriban Aliyeva for the attention and care shown to them. Professor Vahid Novruzov, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Council of Elders, spoke about the role of our elderly and intellectuals in the current development of our state, which was founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by the President of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and noted that the Gabala District Council of Elders' annual activities had been satisfactorily assessed. At the end of the event, a group of elders were presented with honorary certificates by the District Executive Authority for their active participation in public affairs.
