The number of tourists coming to Gabala has increased.
In January 2026, 7533 tourists were accommodated in hotels and hotel-type establishments in the Gabala district. Of them, 4393 people, or 58,3 percent, were citizens of Azerbaijan, while 3140 people, or 41,7 percent, were foreign nationals. This is 586 people, or 8,4 percent, more compared to the same period in 2025. An increase of 473 people, or 12,1 percent, was recorded in the number of domestic tourists compared to the corresponding period of last year, while the number of foreign tourists rose by 113 people, or 3,7 percent. Among foreign tourists, citizens of India predominated. Among the tourists were also citizens of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Kuwait, Russian Federation, Qatar, Turkey, Oman, Georgia, Israel, Bahrain, and USA.
