The second stage of the "Dear Shusha" international cycling race has started in Gabala
The second stage of the "Dear Shusha" international cycling race, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation (ACF), started in Gabala. The athletes covered a distance of 176.2 km along the Gabala - Oguz - Sheki - Oguz - Gabala route. The winner of the second stage of the cycling tour among men in the elite age category was a member of the Dutch "Universe Cycling Team" club Luuk Schuurmans (04:06:52). The second place was taken by a member of the Bulgarian national team Nikolay Genov (04:06:52), the third place – by the cyclist of the Chinese "China Glory Continental" club Julien Trarieux (04:06:52). The cyclist of the Bulgarian national team Martin Papanov became the leader of the race on aggregate of two stages, a member of the Dutch "Universe Cycling Team" club Luuk Schuurmans was named the best sprinter, a member of the Kazakh "Vino Sko Team" club Ilkhan Dostiyev – the best mountain cyclist, a member of the Turkish "Sakarya BB Pro Team" club Alexander Bereznyak – the best young athlete. An award ceremony was held after the competition. The winners who took the first 3 places were awarded medals. The leader of the race received a yellow T-shirt, the best sprinter – green, the best mountain cyclist – red, and the best young athlete - white one.
