The "Young Rescuer" International competition dedicated to the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the "Young Rescuer and Firefighter" All-Republic championship have been concluded.
The ceremony of awarding the winners of the International Competition "Young Rescuer" and the All-Republic Championship "Young Rescuer and Fireman", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Gabala, was held. The ceremony was attended by Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, responsible employees of the Ministry of Science and Education, the head of the Gabala District Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev, and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) representative for Azerbaijan, Alex Haykens, United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) representative for Azerbaijan Alex Haykens, children and family members of the martyrs of the Patriotic War, media and public representatives. In addition to Azerbaijan, the purpose of holding competitions in which teams from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan also participate is to promote the unparalleled services of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to our people to the growing younger generation, as well as raising the level of emergency preparedness of teenagers and young people, inculcating a healthy lifestyle, a sense of responsible approach to personal and public safety and national-patriotic spirit among schoolchildren, forming friendship and cooperative relations between young rescuers of different countries. Minister K. Heydarov answered in detail the questions of the captains of the teams at the “round table” held at the Gabala Regional Heydar Aliyev Congress Center under the leadership of Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov and with the participation of the captains of the teams. Young foreign rescuers who took part in the competition expressed satisfaction with participation in such a high level competition and expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which organized the event. In the official part, which started with the playing of the national anthem, the video prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the competitions was shown. Then, the schoolchildren performed an artistic piece dedicated to the dear memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as glorifying national patriotism and friendship between countries. The winners were presented with trophies, diplomas, honorary certificates and valuable gifts, and other participants were presented with honorary certificates and souvenirs. Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov spoke at the event, states that this year's "Young Rescuer" International competition and "Young Rescuer and Firefighter" All-Republic championship were celebrated within the framework of declaring 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" in our country by the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief Mr. Victorious Ilham Aliyev. He also spoke in detail about the historical services of the Great Leader to the people and the state of Azerbaijan, and his philosophy of statehood and emphasized that during all the periods when the national leader led our country, he was always particularly sensitive to the issue of educating children, teenagers and young people in the spirit of national patriotism, forming them as people loyal to their people and state, worthy citizens of society, and acquiring high scientific knowledge, and noted that this policy was successfully continued and developed by the President of the country, the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The Minister emphasized the importance of the "Young Rescuer" International competition and the "Young Rescuer and Firefighter" All-Republic championship organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Gabala, which has already become a tradition, and congratulated the competition winners and wished them success. The teams tested their strength on "Barrier zone", "Combined fire relay", "Search and rescue work", "Presentation of team" and "Wall paper" stages. In the international competition, the first place was taken by Azerbaijan, the second place by Kyrgyzstan, and the third place by Kazakhstan team. The first place was awarded to the team of the Sabirkand Secondary School of Ordubad region, the second place was the team of Baku city Secondary School № 31, and the third place was awarded to the team of "Young Fighters" consisting of children of martyrs.
