Within the framework of the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”, a conference was held on the topic “Heydar Aliyev and the period of national renaissance in Azerbaijan”.

As part of the announcement of 2023 as the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”, a conference was held on the topic “Heydar Aliyev and the period of national renaissance in Azerbaijan” under the organization of the Gabala Region Executive Power in relation to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev on April 27, 2023. The conference participants visited the monument to great leader Heydar Aliyev for the first time, laid flowers at the monument and expressed deep respect to the memory of the genius. First, the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played, and a moment of silence was observed in memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who were martyred for the liberation of our lands from occupation at the conference was attended by the Gabala Region Executive Power, representatives of administrative enterprises and organizations, intelligentsia, elders and the public of the region. Sabuhi Abdullayev, Head of the Executive Power of Gabala Region opened the event with an opening speech greeting the conference participants noted that the period of national renaissance of Azerbaijan is associated with the name of the wise statesman Heydar Aliyev, namely the Great Leader, who brought the Azerbaijani statehood out of chaos and crisis, who honorably fulfilled a unique saving mission in the fate of our nation, stated that the brilliant leader, with his utmost devotion to statehood, created an example of activity that can serve as an example for present and future generations, left behind a legacy and a political school that ensures the longevity of the sustainable development of our country and stated that the national leader is the founder of construction, sustainable development and reforms in all spheres of the country’s life. Speakers at the conference said that the 34 years of leadership of the Azerbaijani state by national leader Heydar Aliyev were forever imprinted in our historical memory as a period of national renaissance, and that this period was a period of rapid growth, development of the national spirit and spiritual progress in all spheres of our life. Conclusively, a video titled “Heydar Aliyev and the period of national renaissance in Azerbaijan” was demonstrated.
