North-west regional centre of MES

North-west Regional Centre - was established on April 17, 2008 by the order
N. 036 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Statue on North-west Regional Centre - was certified on October 07, 2009 by the order N. 075 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Brief information about the territory
North-west Regional Centre consists of 10 administrative districts and is located in the south of the Greater Caucasus mountain range:
area - 14 844 square kilometre
population – about 835 732 people
Area of North-west Regional Centre is located in the seismically active zone; there are landslide and flood areas.
Accidents such as explosion-fire, destructions in the building and installations inherent to the other parts of Republic are characteristic to North-west Regional Centre as well.
